Art Journal prompts for Fall Autumn Season

I’m so addicted to fall. During fall I feel even my art journals are a bit more magical. Fall art journal prompts are for those who love fall as much as me, and those who need some help because they miss the warm summer sun.

I have another article dedicated to autumn art ideas and activities. These fall art journal prompts work very well with that article so be sure to check it out.

Art journal prompts are a helpful way to stimulate our creative juices. When I was attending university, I was also curious about why we had assignments that had to fit certain criteria in my art and English classes. Eventually, I came to understand having some type of restriction or framework to work in actually pushed me to be more creative and thus the reason for the assignments.

If you feel stuck try prompts and also try limiting your art supplies to just a few. You’ll be amazed at what you create. I have another art journal prompts list for anytime of year you can check out here.

If you are new to art journaling check out my tutorial about how to start an art journal.

I’ll be creating my fall art journal spreads in my DIY sketchbook. I love making my own sketchbooks and art journals. Holding something I made adds just a bit more magic to my art. If you want to learn how to make one check out my tutorial for DIY Sketchbooks here!

2.) By Amber Light

Fall has the most beautiful light. You can paint a scene using amber light, or just play with the colors.

2.) Golden Apple Queen

What would the queen of golden apples look like? I just made up the title,  ow you can create the character.

3.) Pumpkin Patch Surprise

Pumpkin patches are beautiful places to be. Try to make something unique in your pumpkin patch.

Use autumn colors to make an abstract page. You can check out my watercolor background tutorials and try these but with fall colors.
